Passport

Today we finally were able to get to the library for Bonita's passport application. Praise the Lord that we were able to get her new birth certificate and the money needed to pay for the passport. Yesterday we went out - after being stuck at home for most the week - and got her passport picture done at Rite Aid. Thank you for your continued prayers. The Mailbox

I have to say that I was a little discouraged this morning about our missions trip - wondering where the money was going to come from for our deposits and Bonita's passport application. As I sat on the couch reading my Bible and praying, Bonita slipped outside and checked the mail, which had finally arrived after days of no mail due to the snow. When she came in, she handed me something. It was the EXACT amount we needed for our deposits and Bonita's passport application. What's more, we were supposed to pay these deposits by last Monday, but because of the weather, the due date was changed to next week.

I am the type of person to think everything through and try to figure out where the money is going to come from. Every time I thought I had figured out God's plan, it didn't happen. God will do things His way, and He sure did. I never expected the money to come in this way. Praise the Lord.

Deposits and Passport

I want to start out praising the Lord that we received Bonita's new birth certificate in order to get her passport for the trip. We also had an informational meeting at church yesterday that gave us many more details on the trip. We will share more of that in another posting at a later date.

Now I would like to ask your prayers about our coming up deposits for our tickets and the payment for the passport application. The deposits will be $200, and the passport application will cost $135. We are praying that God would provide these funds within the next few days.

Birth Certificate

Today Bonita's Mom will be going to get Bonita's birth certificate. Then she will send it out this week. Hopefully we will get it by the end of the week and be able to apply for her passport at the end of the week. Please pray that God would provide the funds for this, as well as needing $200 for our initial deposit for the trip. This morning as I read my Bible, the scripture I was reading for today happened to be Matthew 6. In verse 33, Jesus is saying to seek God's kingdom and his righteousness, and "all these things shall be added unto you." In context, He is saying God will take care of all your needs, to not worry about your needs. Today we are trusting God to teach us patience and to provide for the needs of our trip. Thank you for your continued support and prayers.

Passport

Today we planned on going to the library to apply for Bonita's passport but could not find her birth certificate where it is supposed to be. So, now her Mom will be picking her up a new one on Monday and then sending it to us. Hopefully next week she will get to the library to get the application processed. We appreciate your continued prayers and support.
